SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Time to cultivate your closet!
The St. Gabriel Dress by Suzabelle
Our technical issues are finally on the mend, and I'll have more to share with you tomorrow, (thanks to all who called in while the webstore was down!) but for now, take a peek at just a few of our amazing new spring/summer '09 goodies from designers like Suzabelle, raw earth wild sky, and Bodybag by Jude.  All of the pieces below are available for purchase online right now--and you are always welcome to call or email orders to us if you prefer.  As usual we have very small runs of each style, so hurry in to get the best selection and gear up for all those pesky weddings this summer (a-hem, yes, I'm aware of the irony here--but besides my own, I have 5 more to attend--and I've got my eye on that Garden Dress).  Happy shopping!

Technology Blues

So...
you may have noticed that our webstore is... how shall I say?... "on the fritz"?

While I normally consider myself to be on the savvy side of technology...  I must declare defeat and talk to the experts again on Monday.  To assuage my blues (and prevent me from taking a hammer to the iMac) we're having a SALE instead!  Come on down and help us clear out some of these gorgeous, lonely, last pieces from fall/winter to make room for the awesomeness that is our spring inventory-- most pieces 50% off!!

In the meantime, please feel free to call the store 503.928.6435 or email us info@radishunderground.com if you don't live in Portland and would like to place an order before I am able to teach this gosh darn new fangled webstore a lesson :)

First Thursday March 5th--REIF & HORAY

Yet another wonderful opening for Portland's immensely talented arts community.  This month we are featuring the spring line from REIF, and the gorgeous artwork of Brian Horay.

This season's line for Reif is call "Wanderlust", so Josh and I got a little carried away with our window display...  the waves do indeed work, and our adventuresome lady is off to explore the wild blue yonder.

We had a lovely time with all of our guests, designers and friends... below you'll see Rochelle in her new Muluk hat, sassy as always, Celeste being very sneaky-sneaky about her white wine margarita behind the sweet arrangement Brian brought us (thank you!), and the ever handsome Thunder, who looked particularly dapper in a vintage 3-piece suit.  This event also marked the first introduction of MEN'S CLOTHING to our floor!  See the bombin' Bomber Jacket by Reif as well as her featured garment, exclusive to Radish Underground.

Umm... did I mention how much we love Thunder?  Well T-bolt... your three piece suit earned you a three picture spread in the ol' blog.

Wearable Independent Art

We're thrilled to introduce a new Munich-based line of eco-friendly, art-inspired graphic tees by des artistes.  Created in collaboration with emerging artists, every tee is a canvas for inspiration.  Each of our four designs has information about the artist and the limited edition artwork on the hang tag, so you can sport your art collection around town and tell everyone about it.  These lightweight, semi-sheer jersey tees are made from 100% organic Supima cotton, printed using environmentally friendly water-based inks, and are all made in the USA!

It's party time...

You've got to ask yourself a question:
"Am I having a sexy fun time?"
Well, are ya, punk?
If the answer isn't a resounding "hell yeah"... maybe a party hat from Cloud Society will help.  We have 7 handmade, one-of-a-kind, darling adornments for your noggin--one to get you through each day in the week.
